  At first, David's Tea seems like a cool place. Their teas smell great, they have a pretty good variety, and they let you sample a bit of their product. But after your first purchase, you start to realize what David's Tea is really all about. To put it bluntly, David's Tea is a scam. To call them a real tea house or a distributor of fine teas would be a joke. Their goal is basically to make their tea smell as good as possible to entice you into buying their product. Their staff are trained to quickly put a half dozen tea bins under your nose to dazzle your senses and motivate you to buy. Then they quick-talk you into buying as many accessories and extra teas as possible, usually without mentioning any cost. They'll say "Would you like to try a cup of that tea?" but they don't tell you that cup of tea costs anything. But it's not free. David's Tea only cares about making money, not about product satisfaction. They prey on unsuspecting individuals who are perhaps new to drinking tea and believe that good smelling tea will taste just as good in the pot, but that simply isn't true. The truth is that none of David's Tea's blends taste very good. They are loaded with bits and pieces of fruit, nuts, berries, chocolate chips, you name it. They are also loaded with perfumes and scents. There is no tea on that planet that smells as potent as some of their teas, and that's because David's Tea's blends are full of artificial scents. What they don't tell you is that none of these additives actually make a better cup of tea. I don't care how long you soak dried cranberries and yogurt chips in water, the resulting mixture will not taste like anything good. But that is exactly the kind of crap that they put in their teas. The actual tea itself - what you are paying for - is mediocre and nothing special. That is why I dare to say David's Tea is a scam. The products are made to smell good, but none of their teas are carefully blended with ingredients that actually go into the brew. The result is bland, mediocre tea that doesn't taste anything like it smells, and if you go into the store and say it doesn't taste very good they'll say you need better equipment and will try to sell you hundreds of dollars of junk. But what they don't tell you is that nothing will change the fact that their teas are poor quality and full of perfumes that smell good but don't taste good. Their teas are a disgrace to the art of making fine tea and shouldn't be bought or sold by anyone. If you want some serious tea, and I'm talking some of the best in the world, look up Mariage Frères. For the price, you are getting expertly crafted tea blends that taste as good as they smell, if not better. You'd be wise to save your money and order some real tea instead of wasting your money at David's Tea.
